Works out to 20 weeks. If you are away for a week, you can put your share on hold and get extras another week.
Works out to 10 weeks. You choose the weeks.
Ideal for summer residents. You choose the weeks.
Vacation planned? Need to change your pick up location? No problem. You can easily reschedule your share or change pick up locations as needed.
Each week’s share will be based on a combination of your preferences and what our farm has available that week. For example: don’t like beets? Rate them a "not for me" and you will never get them in your share! Love carrots? Rate them "I love them" and if we’ve got them, you’ll get them! And each week you can further customize your share by swapping items too!
Once you sign up, you’ll get to set preferences for all the products we offer. This tells the algorithm what to give you every week. Don’t worry, you can change these at anytime! Prior to your delivery, you’ll receive the "It’s Time to Customize Your Share" email. You’ll have a window of time to make swaps, place a hold or reschedule your share, or purchase extras. If your share looks good, then you don’t have to do anything. Then, pick up your fully customized share.
You can pay via cheque, e-transfer or credit card.
You can pay for the entire season at sign up. For each share that is fully paid at sign up, we’ll contribute $25 to our Subsidized Share Fund. This fund supports people who otherwise can’t afford a CSA share.
You can make a 25% deposit at sign up, followed by 25% the first week, and the remaining 50% with each share delivery.
If you are paying via cheque or e-transfer, you can pay in 4 instalments (deposit at sign up, July 1, August 1 and September 1).
We plan our garden and purchase supplies in winter. The earlier we have commitment from CSA members, the better we can plan the garden and the more we can focus on growing good food. Local vegetables are also very popular — sign up early to secure your share!
If you pay for your share in full by April 15th, we'll donate $25 to our Subsidized Share Fund!
Community Supported Agriculture — Farmers and eaters make a commitment to each other at the beginning of the growing season. Throughout the summer and fall, members receive a weekly share of the farm’s produce.
CSA is not for everyone. Yes, really. While we love the CSA model, it doesn’t work for everyone and that’s okay. So here are some questions to help you think about whether you really want to participate in a CSA:
If you answered no to several of these questions, then perhaps now is not the time to join our CSA. Instead, you can sign up for our farm stand and try that first. You’ll be able to purchase the items through our online store and have them delivered just like the CSA shares, without committing to a full season. And who knows on what journey that first step might take you!
Need financial help to get our produce? The Subsidized Share Fund is here to support you. Get in touch and tell us why you would like a share, what financial barriers you are facing (no detailed financial numbers needed), and what level of support you need.
